The new 3-in-1 Tuxedo
A black suit proves to be a versatile solution for both formal occasions and as well as being a party suit.
Although the rules of formal wear can seem as complicated as rocket science, they are not governed by unbreakable laws. For example, I recently went to a black-tie event with one friend who was wearing a velvet jacket with a T-shirt and jeans and another friend who was wearing a double-breasted tuxedo and a bow tie. The key is to figure out what you?d feel confident wearing and than make yourself look better accordingly.
It might be so that you want to go straight from your office to a formal occasion and in this case the solution might be wearing a dark (preferably black) peak-lapelled suit made from a silk wool fabric and no-pleat trousers, a white French cuffed shirt and a plain dark tie.
A suit like this can make you look dressier than usual when you wear it at the office with a brighter tie and shirt but matched with the right shirt and tie it can act as a black-tie also. The versatility of such a suit is unbelievable because take-off the tie and open the shirt-collar button, you have a perfect after-party suit in which you will look as debonair at a night club as in your office or at a formal black-tie event.
